Stage Aurora has been awarded the nationally acclaimed The Big Read by the National Endowment for the Arts. In light of our theatre slogan, theatre that enlightens, our book of choice is Harper Lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Coming to the City of Jacksonville February 4, 2012- March 4, 2012 we have designed an array of activities from theatre, guest speakers to readings, film showings, and much more.
Children are a gift. As with any gift, you must take care of it in order for it to last a lifetime. The Children and Educational Outreach Series is the backbone of Stage Aurora. Youth of all backgrounds are invited to take part in our artistic efforts. We salute the youth of the City of Jacksonville as we design positive theatrical activities for their entertainment.
Community Outreach and Youth Programs include: Annual Aurora Jacksonville Black Arts Festival, Aurora Lecture Series, 100 Youth Voices Musical Theatre Program, Performing Arts Literacy Initiative, and the Performing Arts Summer Institute.
