Stage Aurora Theatrical Company Inc., Theatre that Enlightens, is excited to present The Wiz Theater for Young Audiences. The Wiz TYA is a 75-minute, family-friendly adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. The Wiz TYA is tailored specifically for youth performers and audiences.

This production is sponsored by  The National Endowment for the Arts, The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, Community First Cares Foundation and Florida Arts & Culture. This high-energy musical follows Dorothy, a determined young dreamer who is swept away from her Kansas home and transported to the dazzling land of Oz. As Dorothy travels down the Yellow Brick Road, she meets a Scarecrow searching for a brain, a Tinman longing for a heart and a Lion hoping to find courage. Together, they journey toward Emerald City to seek help from the mysterious Wiz, facing plenty of surprises along the way. Bursting with soul, gospel, funk and unforgettable dance, The Wiz TYA is a joyful reimagining of a beloved classic that celebrates friendship, self-discovery and the power that has been inside us all along.
